What is DSIP (Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide)?

DSIP is a neuropeptide discovered in the 1970s, known for promoting deep, restorative sleep—specifically increasing delta brain waves during sleep. It acts on the central nervous system and is being studied for its effects on sleep disorders, stress, pain, and more.

APPLICATION PROTOCOL

Mechanism of Action:

Induces delta-wave (slow-wave) sleep, enhancing deep, restorative non‑REM sleep without typical sedation. Believed to interact with GABA, NMDA, α₁‑adrenergic and possibly NMDA receptors.

HPA Axis Modulation:

Modulates the HPA axis by suppressing ACTH/cortisol, stimulating LH and growth hormone, and inhibiting somatostatin.

Clinical Trials:

DSIP is still in early research phases. Some studies report improved sleep quality, reduced stress, better hormonal balance, and antioxidant effects. Preliminary data also suggest possible support for pain relief, cognitive function, and reproductive health.

Benefits of DSIP:

  • Promotes deep and restful sleep.
  • May reduce stress and anxiety.
  • Shows potential antioxidant effects.
  • May help manage chronic pain.
  • Could regulate hormone levels and endocrine functions.
  • May support immune system function.
  • Investigated for addiction treatment support.
  • May help normalize blood pressure.
  • Supports circadian rhythm balance.
  • Potential benefits for focus and memory.
